What is sacred and holy to us, and surrendering.

I don't know how many game project prototypes I've started on and abandoned. So I'm excited to get something out there on the world wild webz. It includes a bit of ruin and shrine exploration, as well as a form of progression system. The only way to progress currently is to pray at shrines and then gather followers. There is a nasty bug causing the game to freeze when killing enemies and gathering followers, so the game needs to be saved often.

But I'm also filled with some apprehensions regarding this release. See I did some digging around the internet and found nothing which quite tickled my personal spiritual needs. The closest answer I came to, where a game experience gives you a sense of sacred holiness (or unholiness, depending on your style) is probably Elder scrolls V: Skyrim. I don't know how many hundreds of hours I have spent in that game, but I think Like stories of old (video) captures in his description how I felt playing the game.

And then there is this: I implemented a prayer/submission mechanic in my game.

The game, I think, is usually most comfortably played with left hand on the keyboard and the right on the mouse. But in order to pray the player would conceivably need to (doesn't have to though, of course) let go of the mouse in order to press both the F and J keys at the same time. The player has to let go, and finally the game instructs the player to press the Space bar, to 'Submit'.

I'm curious to know what people think of this release, and the direction of the game.
